How to remove an image background for free

Cutting the subject out of a photo used to mean Photoshop or a site that charges per image. Now a good AI model runs right in your browser — free, watermark-free, and without your photo ever leaving your device.

The one-click way

Getting clean edges

Start with good contrast. A subject that stands out clearly from its background cuts out far more cleanly than one that blends in.
Use feathering sparingly. A small amount softens hard edges; too much makes the subject look like a sticker peeling off.
Hair and fur are hard. Any automatic tool struggles with fine wispy edges — it'll be good, not perfect.

Turn the cutout into something
